RAK Airways is due to sign its first codeshare deal with an undisclosed carrier shortly, according to its newly-appointed chief executive. \"We are looking to sign a codeshare deal with an airline. And in about six weeks time we will have an announcement to make on it,\" John Brayford, acting CEO of RAK Airways, told Gulf News in an interview, without divulging further details. He added that the airline will consider growth by the way of alliances, partnerships and codeshare deals while continuing with organic growth. \"RAK Airways\' growth in the future will come from both areas — organic as well as through partnerships and alliances. It will be a balance of both,\" said Brayford. The Ras Al Khaimah-based carrier has seen several CEOs leave the company in the course of three to four years, without a firm strategy in place and relaunched its operations in October 2010.
