Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has continued to show significant growth in the first quarter of the year. Passenger numbers have grown by 58.5 per cent compared with the same period last year. “We are delighted that growth is exceeding our own high expectations of 50 per cent,” said RAK International Airport Director Andrew Gower. “There are many factors behind this growth, such as our attractive pricing structure, the introduction of our new ground handing operator, the development of newroutes and of course the improvements toour service and in-terminal facilities. “At the heart of our business strategy is the customer, operational excellence and product development. We continue to explore new opportunities and markets, using a ‘lean’ approach. These are the essential ingredients for our success, and we will continue to listen to our markets and adapt to the changes of the ever-evolving aviation industry.” “RAK International Airport is strategically placed on the map of the UAE with favourable demographics. We are only 20-45 minutes from Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain and Fujairah. With the combined population of approximately 900,000, RAK International Airport is a very attractive proposition for the airlines.
