Qatar Airways Tuesday announced additional flights to Tehran, Islamabad and Muscat.
The four additional flights to Tehran, two to Islamabad and four to Muscat per week, will commence September 1st, 3rd and 16th respectively, the carrier said.
The increase in frequencies to many destinations is due to the rise in passenger demand, QA said.
The 14 flights per week to Tehran will increase to 18 flights. Its seven flights per week to Islamabad will go up to nine and the 31 flights per week on the Doha-Muscat route will go up to 35. QA operates five flights per day to Muscat.
QA Group Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said, "We have witnessed a great increase in passenger demand for both local passengers in each market, as well as international passengers looking to travel to each of these cities, and passengers on these flights can look forward to an enhanced travel experience with Qatar Airways' five-star service as we welcome them on-board." Among the 144 destinations currently served by Qatar Airways are London, Paris and Frankfurt, Milan, Singapore, Montreal, New York, Medina, Beirut and Istanbul – all better connected to Tehran, Islamabad and Muscat with the convenient timing of the additional flights and increased capacity.
