Public Parks and the Horticulture Department of Dubai Municipality has organised a variety of shows and activities to entertain families and children in the main parks of Dubai during the Dubai Shopping Festival 2014. Taleb Julfar, Director of Public Parks and Horticulture Department said the department, through these activities, aims to maintain the pioneering position of the city of Dubai in hosting international events in line with the best practices in the world. The activities organised in Creek Park include, amongst others, a birds show, horse riding and firework displays, in addition to the rental of boats, children's train, bikes, horses and camels. The regular dolphin show, planetarium and other Children City facilities and recreational activities will also be accessible for all during the normal working hours of the park. Zabeel Park hosts a variety of art performances, such as the Indian Idol live show, Flying Super Kids, Music Concert, wrestling plus other regular activities like rental of bikes, cars, games, toys and recreational activities for children. While Safa Park attracts thousands of visitors for both its DSF activities and weekly organic products market, Al Mushrif, Al Mazar and Jumeira Beach Parks provide maximum entertainment opportunities for families and children with all its regular activities and programmes especially designed for the DSF.
