Bangkok Airways offers a discounted roundtrip fare on its Bangkok – Chiang Mai route at Bt3,390 all inclusive. Reservations can be made until 16 November for travel from 1 December to 28 February 2013. Bangkok Airways operates six daily flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and five from Chiang Mai to Bangkok using a 138 seat-Airbus A319 and a 162 seat-Airbus A320. The deal is attractive; just marginally higher than the regular fares on budget airlines with more baggage allowance and access to airport lounges. Nok Air offers 10 flights daily at fares starting at Bt3,180. Thai AirAsia operates eight daily flights with a fare of Bt3,300 and Orient Thai Airlines, twice daily, sells fares from Bt3,100. Thai Airways Inernational’s lowest fare is now Bt4,620 under its Colorful Winter promotion for bookings and departures ex-Bangkok completed by 31 December. Outside that promotion the fare is Bt4,850. THAI operate eight daily flights. THAI Smile brand has two daily flights with a starting fare of Bt4,420.
