Marhaba Taxi started home-to-work taxi service from Sunday where four people can share the taxis.
“The service will cost OMR 60 for up to 15km, OMR 90 from 15 to 25km, OMR 120 from 25 to 35km, OMR 150 from 35 to 45km and OMR 180 from 45 to 55km for a month,” an official of Marhaba Taxi said.
The official said that the company has now 75 taxis on the roads.
Marhaba Taxi has obtained the licence to run taxis at the Sultan Qaboos Port, hotels and will also provide on-call taxi services and their services can be booked using a mobile app or by calling the call centre.
The official said that the people interested will have to sign a monthly contract for the service
