More than 200 Russian and foreign aircraft will be exhibited at the MAKS-2011 air show near Moscow in August, an organizer of the event told RIA Novosti. The MAKS-2011 air show will be held at Zhukovsky outside Moscow on August 16-21. In all, 627 aerospace industry companies, including 473 Russian and 154 foreign, have registered to take part in the air show as of June 1. Russia's Sukhoi aircraft maker will demonstrate to general public for the first time a flight of two prototypes of its T-50 fifth-generation fighter, also known as PAK-FA. Sukhoi's flight program at the show also includes performances of Su-30 and Su-35 multirole fighters, Su-32 fighter-bomber and Superjet 100 passenger plane. The MiG corporation will showcase several variants of its famed MiG-29 fighter and a two-seat version of MiG-35 multirole fighter, as well as MiG-29K carrier-based fighter. After a 4-year break, U.S. Air Force joins the MAKS air show o put on public display for the first time its C-5 Galaxy heavy-lift transport plane, A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft and P-3C Orion ASW plane. The visitors will also enjoy performances of "Russian Knights", "Strizhi", "Russian Falcons," "Rus," and "Baltic Bees" aerobatic teams.
