Over a million travelers passed through the Allenby crossing between the West Bank and Jordan during 2011, police figures released Monday show. The Palestinian passport police report said 4,653 passengers were prevented from traveling for security reasons, and 1,522 were seized at the terminal as they were wanted on criminal charges. A total of 1,219,981 people crossed through the sole crossing for most West Bank Palestinians who want to travel abroad, the figures show. Of those, 583,334 were entering the West Bank and 636,647 were exiting to Jordan, the report said.
