When complete, a ship that’s being pitched as the most luxurious in the industry will feature exotic stonework, a “museum-worthy art collection” and a sprawling two-bedroom suite that comes with an in-room spa.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has released more details on the launch of its most ambitious project, the Seven Seas Explorer, which the company is billing as the most luxurious cruise ship the industry will see when it sets sail in 2016.
Unlike many mainstream cruises that carry thousands of passengers, the Seven Seas Explorer will carry just 750 guests and feature the highest staff-to-guest ratio in the industry.
Likewise, guests will also have their run of the place as the ship will boast the highest space ratio in the cruise industry.
One of the highlights of the ship includes a 3,875-foot (1,180 square meter) suite that includes the first in-room spa at sea with personal sauna, steam room and treatment area.
Guests will have several dining options, including a steakhouse, an Italian restaurant and fine dining restaurant.
The maiden voyage is scheduled to set sail for 14 nights from Monte Carlo to Venice next July.
In other luxury cruise news, Cunard celebrates its 175th anniversary this year with a packed itinerary including a major homecoming celebration in May.
Up to one million spectators are predicted to gather in Liverpool, the company’s ‘spiritual home’ for a three-day celebratory event.
