Tripoli - Arabstoday

As of 22 April, Lufthansa German Airlines is increasing its capacity between Frankfurt and Tripoli to daily flights from flying three times per week, boosting its presence in Libya to serve the growing travel demand. The daily flights allow passengers to enjoy flexibility in traveling to Germany or onwards to other destinations in Europe and North America. Commenting on the positive news, Frank Van den Steen, Lufthansa’s Regional General Manager for North Africa, Malta and Senegal said: “Libya is a key market in the North African region and our aim is to increase services to accommodate the demand for travels between Tripoli and our global hub, Frankfurt.” “Within two months upon resumption of our operations in Libya, we are in a position to serve more passengers with our additional capacity complemented by our products onboard and on ground. More flights mean more choices for our customers. From our gateway in Frankfurt, business and leisure passengers can rely on our extensive global route network connecting to 216 destinations in 83 countries,” said Antonio Tassone, Lufthansa’s General Manager in Libya. Lufthansa flights are operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-class cabin configuration, featuring Lufthansa’s Business and Economy class.
