Libya, Italy sign immigration agreement

Amnesty International confirmed today that Italian government has signed a new agreement with Libyan Transitional Council to limit the flow of migrants who cross Libya to the Italian territories. The European branch of the Amnesty in Brussels said in its report that the agreement was signed on April 3, which authorizes the Italian authorities to intercept asylum seekers at sea and handed them over to the Libyan soldiers.
