The training ship "La Soumam 937" has docked Monday at Algiers port after the Summer 2014 Instruction Campaign, launched on July 12.
On this occasion, the Commander of Algerian Naval Forces, Major General Malek Necib has inspected the cadets, the crew and the training ship.
The Summer 2014 Instruction Campaign, which lasted 64 days, included 41 days of sailing and 23 days of stops-over at six foreign ports and two national ports.
A total of 91 officer cadets, including 30 women from the Mujaheed-Mohamed-Boutighane Maritime Academy and a Tunisian officer cadet as part of the military cooperation between the two countries.
The instruction campaign started earlier than usual due to the participation of the training ship in two major events: one organized by the German navy at the port of Kiel, where it docked from 19 to 22 June, and the parade marking the 70th anniversary of Operation Dragoon in southeast of France along with American, British, Moroccan and Tunisian ships.
