Kuwait Airways, the state\'s national carrier, extended flight cancellations across its route network into a third day Monday as it struggles to cope with a strike by workers. The cancellation affects outgoing and incoming flights from early today until 5 p.m, Director of Public Relations at the national carrier Adel Buresli told KUNA. He expressed apologies to passengers for any inconvenience due to uncontrolled circumstances. The action by Kuwait Airways employees follows a work stoppage by customs officials that began last week and is blocking food items from entering the country. Workers are demanding higher pay and other benefits.
