The traffic reached its highest ever peak yesterday (Saturday) as a record 88, 206 passengers crossed King Fahd Causeway. "This is an all-time high ever since the strategic artery linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia was opened", General Directorate for National, Passports and Residence (GDNPR) Assistant-Undersecretary for Exits, Search and Follow-up Brigadier General Yusuf Ahmed Al-Ghatam said.(GDNPR) updated figures show the number of passengers who left Bahrain via the causeway standing at 56,767.
