Aircraft of the Kuwait Airway Corporation will stop flying over Iraq due to the security conditions in the country, the KAC said in a statement on Sunday.
Routes of the KAC flights to Europe and America have been altered, the statement said, explaining that its aircraft will instead fly over Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt to these destinations.
The measure will result in increasing duration and delay of these flights, it explained.
Passengers' safety is the KAC top priority, the corporation stressed, noting that the security conditions in Iraq would be examined on daily basis pending "an adequate decision in this respect."
