Hotels in the UAE can put Quran copies in Arabic and other languages in their rooms as long as they are respected, the country’s top Islamic authority has ruled. The Fatwa Centre at the ministry of justice was responding to a public query on whether it is allowed place copies of the Quran in hotel rooms since some occupants are non-Muslims. \"Placing copies of the holy Quran in hotel rooms is permitted as long as their sanctity is respected,” the centre said in a fatwa (Islamic edict) published in the Arab language daily \'Al Khaleej\' on Monday. “Hotels can also have Quran copies in other languages at their rooms since they can be touched by others provided they are respected.” from Gulf News
