Tourism and Antiquities police in the Egyptian city of Aswan has heightened security around 58 Iranian tourists who arrived at Aswan International Airport Saturday evening. Combat and search forces are securing the Iranian tourists\' tour of the Upper Egyptian province. Security authorities in Luxor are also preparing for the arrival of the Iranian tourists there on board a Nile cruise ship coming from Aswan. The Iranian travellers\' trip is being closely guarded due to threats made against them by hardline Salafist elements opposed to the presence of Shiite Iranians in Egypt.
