Heavy fog disrupts 39 flights in NW China

Heavy fog shrouded Urumqi, the capital of northwest China\'s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, disrupting flights and stranding travellers Wednesday morning. Urumqi International Airport confirmed that 39 flights were disrupted, with 37 flights delayed and two transferred to other airports. The fog lingered from 9 a.m. to 12:49 a.m., reducing visibility to less than 200 meters.
