The aircraft resumed the flight once weather conditions had cleared in Riyadh, departing Bahrain at 20:37 and arriving at King Khalid airport at 22:01.
“Gulf Air extends its sincerest apologies to all passengers for any inconvenience caused by weather conditions that were beyond the airline’s control,” the company said. “Bahrain’s national carrier always strives to deliver the highest standards of customer service while delivering on its commitment to the safety and security of its passengers and crew.”
