An expanded delegation representing media outlets in Georgia recently visited Sharm El Sheikh as part of efforts to promote the city as a tourist destination.
In exclusive statements to MENA, Georgian Ambassador to Egypt Archil Dzuliashvili said the visit came upon an invitation from South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and in coordination with the Egyptian Tourist Promotion Authority.
The delegation included representatives of three television stations and a number of newspapers and magazines, in addition to a number of tour operators from Georgia and Armenia who attempted to inspect the situation in the city on the ground, he concluded.
