Emirates to resume flights to Baghdad in September

Emirates Airline will recommence passenger flights to Baghdad from 17th of next month, after services were suspended in January due to safety reasons.
Emirates will operate four weekly flights to Baghdad, served by an A330-200 aircraft in a three class configuration.
Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Centre for Emirates, said, "After conducting an exhaustive safety and security review, we have decided to restart services between Dubai and Baghdad. Commercial air transport has been one of the cornerstones of economic development for Iraq and we want to continue to support the development of economic opportunities in Baghdad by increasing access to international markets and inward investment."
Emirates services to Baghdad from 17th September to 23rd October will depart as EK 941/942 on Monday and Thursday from Dubai and EK 943/944 will operate on Friday and Sunday. EK 941 will depart Dubai at 07:15hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 08:50hrs. The return flight, EK 942 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 10:40hrs arriving in Dubai at 14:00hrs. EK 943 will depart Dubai at 12:35hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 14:20hrs. The return flight, EK 944 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 15:55hrs arriving in Dubai at 19:15hrs.
Timings will change from 25th October. Emirates services to Baghdad will continue to depart as EK 941/942 on Monday and Thursday from Dubai and EK 943/944 will operate on Friday and Sunday. EK 941 will depart Dubai at 07:55hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 09:40hrs. The return flight, EK 942 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 11:35hrs arriving in Dubai at 14:50hrs. EK 943 will depart Dubai at 12:30hrs arriving at Baghdad International Airport at 14:15hrs. The return flight, EK 944 will depart Baghdad International Airport at 15:45hrs arriving in Dubai at 19:10hrs.
Baghdad has been part of Emirates’ route network since 2011. The airline operates four weekly services to Erbil and a double daily service to Basra.
