Dubai - WAM

Emirates Airline has inaugurated its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on its Dubai - Moscow route. Offering 360 seats in each direction, an increase of 40 percent, the upgraded capacity closely follows Emirates' recent deployment of a daily A380 to Moscow. In the last three months Emirates has increased overall capacity to Moscow by a staggering 46 percent, the carrier said in a press release. Emirates upgraded flight to Moscow will offer Emirates' passengers eight First Class suites, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 310 seats in Economy Class. The introduction of Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER on this route will also result in a consistent product across the two daily flights to Moscow with lie-flat Business Class seats now available on both flights. The UAE and Russia have strong economic ties, with bilateral trade between the two countries growing by 40 percent in the first half of 2012 to over US$1 billion. There are over 40 major Russian companies and more than 350 joint ventures in the UAE and this upgraded service is expected to further extend this. In addition to carrying more passengers, the operation of the new aircraft will also have a positive impact on Russia's import and export industry. The Boeing 777-300ER has a capacity of 23 tonnes, which means businesses will benefit from an additional 56 tonnes of weekly capacity on the route. All classes of the new aircraft are equipped with Emirates' award-winning ice entertainment system with more than 1,400 channels on-demand entertainment to choose from, including movies, television programmes, games, audio books and music from across the world. Passengers flying First Class with Emirates can enjoy a very generous baggage allowance of 50kg, In Business Class, it's 40kg and in Economy Class, a healthy 30 kg. The airline's chauffeur-driven service is available to both First Class and Business Class passengers. Emirates has been operating in Russia since 2003 and now flies to both Moscow and St. Petersburg offering a total of 21 flights per week.
