An EgyptAir plane has struck a bird while landing at Heathrow Airport in London, causing damage to its front, the national carrier said on Saturday.
The accident of the flight no. 779 occurred on Friday, the company said in a statement.
The passengers of the returning flight no. 780 were housed in a hotel near the airport and had their departure re-scheduled to be at 2 p.m. Saturday, it added.
The passengers would fly to Egypt on board EgyptAir flight no. 778 that would arrive at Cairo Airport at 9 p.m., it said.
