The Council of Governors on Sunday reports presented by the ministries of tourism and environment. Tourism Minister Hesham Zazou pointed out that the number of tourists has increased as many countries lift their travel bans to Egypt. He added that the ministry is coordinating efforts with the ministry of aviation to operate direct flights from European nations to the southern city of Luxor. For her part, Environment Minister Laila Iskandar presented a plan of a new system that will be applied in Cairo and Giza as a first phase to separate organic from non-organic garbage for recycling purposes. The project will also help creating more job opportunities, said the minister.
