Dubai-based budget airline flyDubai took to Facebook earlier this week to inform customers that they do not have an official app on both iOS and Android systems. They also reminded customers that flights can only be booked using several recognised methods.
According to the airline, the dubious app that is available to download allows users to book flyDubai flights. Commenting on the announcement, some also said that they have encountered a man calling and asking for credit card details using the name of flyDubai.
flyDubai has cautioned customers against any application which allows them to book their flights. They currently do not offer an official app in the Apple App Store of Google Play Store. They have also advised flyers to book flights using the official website or through their customer centre, travel shops and certified travel partners.
