A security committee, under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, discussed proposals on airport security measures with representatives of a number of world companies, a statement by Civil Aviation Ministry read.
The ad-hoc committee meeting involved Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal, Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghaffar and Tourism Minister Hesham Zaazou.
The world security companies were chosen due to their history with regard to the field of airport security, the statement said.
Auditing aviation security systems, adopted in Egyptian airports nationwide, evaluation of security and safety measures, equipment and training are high on the agenda of tasks assigned to the world companies, it added.
To this end, the security committee will choose a security company, to be in charge, and will hire a number of foreign security experts, according to the statement.
