Cairo\'s new metro link will be officially named the Revolution Line following a decision taken on Wednesday by Egypt\'s Cabinet, according to a report on Ahram\'s Arabic-language portal. The first phase of Cairo underground\'s third line was opened to the public on Tuesday. The newly-opened section links five metro stations that extend between two of Cairo\'s busiest squares -- Ataba, just south of downtown, and Abbasiya, several kilometres to the northeast. Worth LE4.2 billion ($700 million), it is the initial part of a four-phase expansion that will eventually link Cairo University in Giza with the capital\'s international airport.
