Bahrain Airport Service (BAS) has obtained the ISO 17025

Bahrain Airport Service (BAS) has obtained the ISO 17025 certification, which sets general technical requirements and quality management requirements, covering testing, legal requirements, safety and work environmental requirements.

Osama Helmy, Manager of line maintenance, explained that BAS is the only company operating at Bahrain International Airport that has obtained this ISO certification.
He extended his appreciation to the qualified team headed by the engineer Saeed Saif Al-Ghafri, technical director of the laboratory calibration devices and tools for maintenance aircraft, a young competencies in the company.
Osama said: “The work of the Engineering and Aircraft Maintenance Department at BAS operates daily to inspect the aircraft and its cabins at Bahrain International Airport with more than 30 aircraft per day. BAS provides maintenance and engineering services to more than 90% of foreign companies that are using Bahrain International Airport.
Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Department includes aircraft inspection after arrival at Bahrain International Airport and before taking off, as well as daily detection and repair of faults. Mr. Helmy pointed out that continuous training and modern technology, through the qualification and investment of Bahraini humans, are the most important factors for the success of the aircraft engineering and maintenance department at BAS.
He added: “Our employees currently include about 16 aviation engineers and 17 technical mechanics, most of them graduates of the center of “BAETC” training in the engineering of aircraft maintenance.
This is a testament of BAS’s confidence in the qualification of its graduates and training programs designed to the highest standards and global levels”.
On the other hand, Osama Helmy noted that BAS Company is in the process of contracting with new companies to provide aircraft maintenance services at Bahrain International Airport. In accordance with its strategy and management vision, the company plans to expand activity in the Arabian Gulf and Asia Minor region, BAS has sufficient competencies to export its 40 years of experience in providing airport services.

A trusted name in the world of services as a company certified by the Air Transport Safety Audit Program of the International Air Transport Association. Pass offers a number of commercial activities including: aircraft and passenger handling services, catering services, aircraft engineering services, the Bas Engineering Training Center (KFH), as well as owning and managing airport lounges.
