Air New Zealand announced plans Friday to cut more than 400 jobs after posting a 61.2 percent slump in half-year net profit on the back of high fuel costs and a struggling global economy. \"We plan to remove 441 roles from the business before the end of the financial year,\" chief executive Rob Fyfe said, adding that costs savings were needed after the \"disappointing\" result.
