An aircraft of Air Algerie carrying 54 passengers was forced on Tuesday to land in Hassi Messaoud airport, 900 km southern Algiers, Xinhua reported.
The flight took off this morning from the southernmost Illizi airport to the capital Algiers, but was forced to land in the oil rich region of Hassi Messaoud for unknown reasons, some passengers told Xinhua.
This incident comes less than two months after the crash of AH 5017 flight of Air Algerie in Mali which claimed the live of all 116 passengers aboard.
