Emirates flight EK17 on January 10 took off peacefully from Dubai for Manchester but reportedly turned into a mid-air fighting arena as two passengers got into a heated row at 40,000 feet. The fight started when a teenager reclined his seat to sleep on a 38-year-old man about to eat his meal, following which the two almost came to blows as fellow travellers looked on in shock, according to a report in UK\'s Daily Mail. Confirming the incident, an Emirates spokesperson told Gulf News in an e-mailed statement on Thursday: \"Emirates does not tolerate this kind of behaviour from passengers and safety will not be compromised.\" The report added that the concerned pilot of the flight - a 517-seater Airbus A380 superjumbo - reported the incident to the police ahead of landing at Manchester airport. \"Officers went to the gate at Terminal 1 after the flight landed to meet the two passengers at around noon on Tuesday,\" it stated. However, no further action was reportedly taken as neither of the two made a formal complaint and both admitting they had been \"in the wrong\", according to the police.
