Publisher Simon & Schuster is releasing an electronic edition of Ray Bradbury\'s classic science fiction novel \"Fahrenheit 451\" after the 91-year-old author lifted his objections to a digital version. \"The publication in digital form comes as part of a new publishing agreement that includes all English language print and digital formats of Fahrenheit 451 in North America,\" Simon & Schuster said in a statement. \"It\'s a rare and wonderful opportunity to continue our relationship with this beloved and canonical author and to bring his works to new a generation of readers and in new formats,\" said Simon and Schuster publisher Jonathan Karp. First published in 1953, Fahrenheit 451 has sold over 10 million copies and been translated into 33 language, according to Simon & Schuster. The novel envisions a world where books are banned and burned. It was on sale at Amazon and other online retailers on Wednesday for $9.99. Other notable e-book holdouts include Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who plans to finally make her best-selling books available in digital form through her dedicated Pottermore website.
