The first edition of "Spring of Amazigh cinema" was launched Saturday in Algiers with the screening of 13 Amazigh films.
The event, which continues until April 21st, was organized by the High Commission for Amazigh (HCA) in coordination with the town of Algiers Centre to mark the 35th anniversary of the "Berber Spring".
Four short films were screened with the directors, namely "The end of Djinns" (1990) by Cherif Agoun, "The Silver Tower" (2009) by Hafid Ait Brahim, "Dihiya" (2012) by Amer Belkacemi and "Taqbaulit iw-ass-a "(2013) by Slimane Belhart.
Khayam theatre (Algiers) proposes "Ad Yidir mm-sn umazigh" (2014) by Hachemi Assad, "Vava Mouh" (2012) by Smail Yazid and "Tasarut n TUDERT" (2011) by Lounis Zidane.
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the "Berber Spring" on April 20, Monday will be dedicated by all media to the Amazigh language, said the Secretary General of HCA, Si Hachemi Assad.
