Tori Kelly celebrated her upcoming MTV Music Video Awards performance with a medley video posted Tuesday.
The 22-year-old singer-songwriter paid tribute to her favorite MTV VMAs moments after it was revealed she will attend and perform at the ceremony for the first time. Demi Lovato, Pharrell Williams and The Weeknd are among the other musical acts.
Kelly belted out acoustic versions of "Waterfalls" by TLC, "Try Again" by Aaliyah, "It's Gonna Be Me" by 'N Sync, "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce, and "Lovestoned/Think She Knows" by Justin Timberlake. "Thank you for your constant support," she wrote. "It's really mind blowing."
The singer-songwriter came to fame on YouTube, and auditioned for American Idol at age 16. She released two EPs, Handmade Songs and Foreword, before debuting her first studio album, Unbreakable Smile, in June. The record includes the hit single "Nobody Love."
On June 23, 2015, Kelly's debut album, Unbreakable Smile, was released. The lead single, "Nobody Love", was released in the spring and became her first Billboard Hot 100 appearance.
