Slipknot announced new album .5: The Gray Chapter on Monday.
The record is the band's fifth studio release, and a followup to 2008's All Hope is Gone. The title pays tribute to late bassist Paul Gray, and the album is the first to not feature Gray and drummer Joey Jordison. Gray died of a drug overdose in 2010, and Jordison left the band in 2013.
.5: The Grey Chapter will be released October 21, with a U.S. tour to follow. The tour is being billed as the Prepare for Hell tour, with featured guests Korn and King 810.
"We've been waiting a long time for this," Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor said in a statement. "Not only do we get to tour with friends who we respect, we've also chosen a band that represents the fury of the future. Slipknot is coming to your town. And hell's coming with us."
Tickets for Prepare for Hell go on sale September 5, and the tour kicks off October 29 in El Paso, Texas. Slipknot released new single "The Negative One" from .5: The Gray Chapter earlier in August.
