Egyptian singer Midhat Saleh revealed that he was raised by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt before becoming a singer. He said that he was taught their ways of life until the age of 16 and used to teach young children to read and recite the holy Quran. Midhat stressed that he holds the utmost respects for the Muslim Brotherhood despite the fact that he does not agree with all their ways. He said that he regards their victory in the Egyptian Parliamentary elections a normal thing and represents the desire of the majority of the Egyptian population. According to the internet website MBC.net, Midhat revealed that he will be taking part in an operetta during the celebration of the first anniversary of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution.
