Actress Lindsay Lohan, whose activism for Syrian refugees in Turkey is well known, has invited US President-elect Donald Trump to join her on a tour of Syria and Turkey.
She recently tweeted, “Please let me help you. #theworldisbiggerthan5come to Istanbul and Syria with me. You can see it first hand.”
Lindsay’s manager Scott Carlsen told British newspaper The Telegraph that she would follow through if Trump accepted her invitation.
He said: “She wants the whole world to be informed about what is happening over there. It was eye opening for her to actually be immersed in it and she would love to share that with others.
“If Trump was up for it she would 100 percent follow through.”
On Monday, Lindsay tweeted saying, “Because we’ve got a new US President, please don’t forget about those suffering in Syria & how much Turkey has helped. We need to fix this.”
In another tweet, she invited Turkish President Erdogan and Putin to take part in a charity event selling cars.
“lets do an event for Syrian refugees & sell some cars for donations. Maybe @RT_Erdogan will come to help others? Or @PutinRF_Eng.”
Trump’s foreign policy appears to be against allowing more refugees in the country.
