Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will release jazz album Cheek to Cheek on September 23.
The 28-year-old singer and 87-year-old jazz great announced the album's release date Tuesday on Today. The longtime friends also premiered the video for their first single, a cover of Cole Porter's "Anything Goes."
Cheek to Cheek features solo and duet covers of such songs as "Cheek to Cheek" from the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie Top Hat, "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" from musical Pal Joey and "Sophisticated Lady" by Duke Ellington. The singers previously collaborated on "The Lady is a Tramp" for Bennett's album Duets II (2011).
"I love the way she sings," Bennett told host Carson Daly when he and Lady Gaga arrived.
"The collaboration has just been so wonderful," Lady Gaga added later. "It's so natural singing with Tony."
Lady Gaga chose to commemorate their work with a tattoo on her inner right bicep. Bennett, who is also a well-known painter, sketched Miles Davis' trumpet for the design.
"Anything Goes" is currently available for purchase, and Cheek to Cheek will be released September 23.
