J.K. Rowling delighted American Harry Potter fans Tuesday by dropping hints about the U.S. counterpart to Britain's beloved school of witchcraft and wizardry.
Rowling told fans during a Twitter Q&A that an American version of Hogwarts will be mentioned in the upcoming spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Rowling, who is writing the screenplay, told one Twitter user that the film's main character, Newt Scamander, will meet people educated at an American school.
"He's going to meet people who were educated at [name] in [not New York]," Rowling tweeted.
Rowling added in subsequent tweets that the name of the school will be of "immigrant origin."
She also said that American Indian "magic was important in the founding of the school," but was careful to keep specific details to herself.
"If I say which tribes, location is revealed," Rowling tweeted.
Fantastic Beasts, which will star Eddie Redmayne as Scamander, is due in theaters Nov. 2016.
