A senior German lawmaker is due in Egypt in the coming week to hold talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on ways of bolstering bilateral relations.
During their meeting on Monday, Chairman of the German Christian Democratic Union (CDU) parliamentary block Volker Kauder and President Sisi will discuss preparations for the latter's visit to Germany.
According to a statement by the German Embassy in Cairo, Kauder will meet with Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb and German investors in Egypt.
He will pay a visit to Luxor governorate and meet with its Governor Mohamed Sayyed Badr on Sunday.
They will probe ways of reviving Egypt's tourism sector.
It is the fifth time for Kauder to visit Egypt since 2011.
