A high-level delegation from the Russian ministry of economy will visit Egypt in May to discuss the basis for negotiations on a free trade agreement, head of the Egyptian commercial agreements sector Saeed Abdullah said.
Speaking to MENA, Abdullah said Egypt is now focusing on the Eurasian trade agreement, which means free trade deals with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the coming period.
He pointed out that Egypt has a plan to remove all non-customs hurdles impeding joint trade movement. The plan includes also mutual exemptions, he added, noting that an agreement on this score will achieve many economic benefits for Egypt.
