Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif are scheduled to visit Kabul Tuesday, Khaama Press reported.
The decision was made after a high-level meeting of Pakistan’s civilian and military leaders today.
Pakistani delegation will meet Afghan leaders, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah in presidential palace and discuss bilateral relationship, regional security and fight against terrorism.
The visit comes only four days after Pakistan’s ex-president Asif Ali Zardari made a one-day visit to Kabul.
During his meetings with Afghan leaders Asif Ali Zardari discussed the regional security and ongoing Afghan reconciliation process.
With the assistance from Pakistan and some other parties, the Afghan government has been hassling to reach a peace deal with Taliban.
