Delegations from the eastern Nile countries, namely Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia have agreed to hold the meeting of the tripartite national technical committee on Thursday and Friday in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
Dr Alaa Yasin, the adviser to the minister of water resources and irrigation and the spokesman for the file of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam told MENA that the meeting will be at the technical experts' level..
He said the meeting will have an exchange of viewpoints on the reasons behind the delay of the offer of the Dutch and French consultant firms which was due to be delivered on August 12.
A deadline set by the technical committee on the dam to the two international consultancy firms to hand over the amended offer on the dam expired on Wednesday.
Sources said the technical offer covers details about the construction of the dam and its size and work.
Egypt and Sudan had obstructed to the construction of the dam fearing it would reduce the amounts of waters the two countries need in drinking and irrigation.
