The Arab League Council at the delegates' level will hold an emergency meeting Sunday upon Egypt's request to discuss a number of causes in the Arab arena, topped by combating terrorism, in light of the terror act, which took place in North Sinai on October 24.
In exclusive statements to MENA Saturday, Egypt's Delegate to the AL, Ambassador Tarek Adel said that he asked to tackle ways of fighting terrorism in the agenda of the meeting.
Egypt's delegation prepared a draft statement on condemning the terror act, which took place in Sinai along with measures taken to fight terrorism, he added.
The draft statement calls for activating Arab agreements to fight terrorism and maintain security and judicial cooperation, he went on to say.
He, meanwhile, said that tomorrow's meeting will also discuss Israel's aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
AL chief Nabil el-Arabi will attend tomorrow's meeting, during which he will review the latest developments in the Arab arena, including his recent visit along with a ministerial delegation to Baghdad.
