A tripartite summit will be held in North Darfur among Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir and leaders of Chad and the Central African Republic (CAR), the State’s Governor Abdul Wahid Youssef said on Tuesday.
This comes within the framework of the ongoing North Darfur celebrations to mark the end of the transitional period, Abdul Wahid added.
Also, Abdul Wahid asserted that he will meet separately with the Qatari emir.
Speaking to reporters, the Darfur governor said the two meetings will touch on Sudan relations with the three countries and ways to develop them in various fields.
Abdul Wahid denied reports of tribal conflicts, asserting the security situation in the state is stable.
Furthermore, he underlined that Darfur government seeks to upgrade infrastructure services, especially roads and drinking water to achieve the economic and social development in the state.
