Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace here yesterday evening U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the accompanying delegation.
At the outset of the audience, Kerry conveyed the greetings of U.S. President Barack Obama to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. In turn, the King sent his greetings to the President.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and U.S. Secretary of State reviewed efforts to counter extremist organizations and terrorism in the region. They also discussed regional and international developments.
The audience was attended by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense; Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Secretary General of National Security Council and Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, President of Crown Prince's Court and Special Advisor to the Crown Prince; Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; and U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Joseph Westphal.
