Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi received at his residence in Riyadh Monday US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller.
According to the Yemeni government's news agency, the meeting went over bilateral relations and the latest developments in Yemen in light of recent victories of the Yemeni national army and popular resistance over Houthis and Saleh militia.
The US diplomat asserted his country's support for Yemen's security, stability, unity and constitutional legitimacy, represented by President Hadi, reaffirming the importance of applying UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
The Yemeni president left Yemen after Houthi rebels took control of the capital Aden in March. The president currently resides in Riyadh.
