President Beji Caid Essebsi received Wednesday President of the French National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Elisabeth Guigou.
During the talk, Essebsi emphasized Tunisia's firm will to complete the democratic edifice and achieve success of its economic and social program. In this regard, he called for supporting the democratic countries.
Essebsi highlighted the pledge of France, reiterated during the recent state visit in this country, to strengthen bilateral relations.
He placed emphasis on the necessity to face up terrorism and support the international and regional efforts aimed to encourage the Libyan factions to reach a peaceful and consensual solution.
Guigou underlined the necessary assistance that Europe, France in particular, must provide for Tunisia, to achieve success of the economic reforms, create new jobs for Tunisian youths and boost investment.
Besides, she highlighted the importance of a joint action in matters of fight against terrorism.
