Tourism Minister Khalid Ramy held talks with Egypt's next ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel-Aati on the ministry's efforts to lure more German tourists.
Before being appointing to the post, Abdel-Aati served as the spokesman for the foreign ministry.
German airlines Germania and FTI, Germany's fourth-biggest tour operator, will operate direct flights between Germany and Luxor next winter, the minister said.
Ramy said the ministry is planning to organize workshops with German tour operators to promote for Egyptian tourism in Germany.
