Suez Governor General El Arabi Al Serwi received on Monday a delegation from the Russian embassy in Cairo including representatives from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to assess a project to set up a Russian-Egyptian industrial zone in Suez.
In statements on Monday, Serwi said Suez governorate, the Ministry of Industry and the Industrial Development Authority would coordinate to set a timetable for starting the first steps to put into effect the project that is designed to be set up in kilo 109 district of Suez.
The government voiced upbeat over the establishment of the industrial zone that will provide new job opportunities for Suez residents and help increase the movement of trade and industry between the two countries via the harbors of Suez, Adhbiya and El Sokhna.
